Northborough Helping Hands is partnering with the Curbside Community Meal program (read more) in response to COVID-19. Meals are provided every Wednesday at 6pm at Trinity Church. The meals are free but donations are welcome.
The mission of Northborough Helping Hands Association (NHHA) is to coordinate programs to assist those in need in the form of Thanksgiving food baskets, Christmas gifts, clothing, medical equipment, and emergency aid for special services.
NHHA was formerly known as the Northborough District Nurse Association and has been assisting Northborough individuals and families in need since 1920. We work closely with other town agencies, businesses and organizations to meet our goals.
Backpack Drive New backpacks filled with grade-appropriate school supplies are distributed to Northborough students in need, grades K-12 to begin a new school year.
Emergency Fund Emergency money for medicine, heat (oil/gas/electric) or other needs is provided as deemed necessary. Requests must be made through the appropriate social service programs.
Holiday Outreach NHHA aims to keep spirits bright around the holiday with Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas Giving programs. Requests must be made through the appropriate social service agency in Northborough.
Coat and Boot Drive Each year we collect new and gently used winter gear to distribute each Fall. Coats and boots are provided for Northborough children in need.
Medical Equipment Loan Free loan of items such as wheel chair, walker, shower seats, etc. for as long as it is needed. Recipients must be a resident of Northborough.
Scholarship Fund NHHA offers two $1,000 college scholarships to deserving Northborough high school seniors.
